Lost 2-4 |
Team: Joan and Debbie Tricia H and Fiona
This was a very enjoyable and close first match with Joan and Debbie
and then Tricia and Debbie, in the split, winning the 2 rubbers. The
games were all long and hard fought with several rubbers going to 3
and with only a few points between the teams at the end a draw would
have been a fairer result.
Next Match Friday 14th October at home. |

Not a very good match, hopefully we will do better at home when we won't
be playing with plastic shuttles or being distracted by people jumping up
and down on the trampolines! |

Team: Joan and Debbie Tricia H and Fiona
This was a very close hard fought match which could have gone either way
as 4 of the 6 rubbers went to 3. Both pairs beat Janet Veasey and her
partner.
The venue was extremely cold and as they
had a men's match on the same night we had 2 matches sharing 3 courts and
the last ladies rubber didn't finish until 10.45pm. |

Team: Joan and Debbie Tricia H and Fiona
Unfortunately both Debbie and Joan were not feeling very well as they both
were still recovering from bad colds and Fiona had damaged her ankle
playing netball the night before. Not that these excuses would have made
much difference to the score as basically they were a lot better than us. |

Not the most enjoyable way to spend a Friday night,
travelling to Nuneaton,
to a hall that Eskimos would have felt more at home in, only to play
against
an extremely good ladies team that have only just come into the Coventry
League and are well on their way to the top! |

This was a more enjoyable match than last week but unfortunately we lost
again. Debbie & Jo and then Fiona & Jo in the split picked up the two

Last match of the season and yes we did it again! I think we must be slow
learners as it has taken us all season to work out how to win. This was a
very close match with the score at 2 each before the split. With Tricia
and Debbie winning their rubber it was a nail biting finish as Joan and
Fiona went to 3 before finally winning their rubber and allowing us to end
the season on a high note and hopefully lift us off the bottom of the
division. Thanks to everyone who played. |
